the-meaning-of-lifeExcerpt from article in Epoch Times: NDE Research (Near Death Experiences)

“It is important for NDE research to reach mainstream society, said Holden, because the messages therein are so important. One of the lessons learned by many NDEers is that β€œhuman life has purpose,” Holden said.

At some time in everyone’s life, we should (need to!) address this question. And our answers will usually be based on our cultural upbringing, religious beliefs, scientific perspectives and the personal philosophy we usually acquire as we grow older.

Do you know the purpose (the real meaning) of YOUR life?

To help answer this question (with the same question), I have gone to the world’s experts on (never really figuring out this question) …

β€œAll men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” T.E. Lawrence

β€œWhat if by engaging our imagination and opening our minds we could unlock the door to a world of wonders?” Cirque du Soleil poses this question in its latest travelling show β€œKurios: Cabinet of Curiosities.”

So how does this question apply to you and your life?

What is beyond the door of your imagination? What is holding you back from opening it?Β  What are you afraid of seeing – of feeling – of hearing? Could it be – THE TRUTH?

I think it’s time to open our doors!

My father had a great sense of humour.

Here I am at 2 years old hanging on the wall. Judging by my facial expression, it didn’t seem to bother me at all.

Of course, knowing me, my facial expression also contains a hint of “So you think this is funny? Just wait until I get you back!”

I did! But years later of course πŸ™‚

Hmm..like father like son. This is me (many years later) having learned a trick or two from my father.

Meghan is not quite sure about this, but Andrew is enjoying every moment of it.

Oh, and check out those socks in the sandals. πŸ™‚

Ginger Ale, health

I didn’t feel well yesterday. Some kind of stomach virus. Picked up some Canada Dry Ginger Ale to get those “burps” going. Really helped. My mother used to give me that when I was a kid. Along with Orange Crush once I felt better πŸ™‚

John Chick, Saskatchewan Roughriders

John Chick is a Defensive End for the Saskatchewan Roughriders football team and he is one of the hardest players for opposing teams to stop. He is at the top of his game in a very demanding and rough sport.

But John is also a family man and when you watch this short video, you will understand what drives this athlete to be the best he can – his family. πŸ™‚
